The Kühne Logistics University and the Kuehne Climate Center

Make a public commitment to an annual

Global Sustainable Logistics Survey (2026-2035)

of senior logistics decision makers.

The survey will:

Be independent and academically rigorous,

Allow tracking of trends over time,

Allow comparison between regions,

Be transparent results and data freely available,

Be available in multiple languages,

Have increasing geographical coverage over time.

The survey’s data collection phase will start in March/April 2026.

First results will be available in summer 2026.

This long-term commitment is made possible by the funding from the Kühne Foundation.

The Global Logistics Sustainability Survey is building on the regional survey conducted by the KLU in 2022:

Measuring Industry's Temperature. An Environmental Progress Report on European Logistics.

About Us

Center for Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chains (CSLS)

The Center for Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chains is driving the shift to more sustainable logistics and supply chains. Building on KLU's expertise in sustainability-focused logistics research, CSLS collaborates with key players—companies, policymakers, and NGOs—to position Hamburg as a global hub for sustainable logistics knowledge. Our work zeroes in on three critical areas: (1) decarbonizing logistics, (2) promoting closed-loop supply chains and the circular economy, and (3) enhancing corporate sustainability. Every research project, outreach program, and professional training initiative at CSLS is designed to address one or more of these key areas.

Kuehne Climate Center (KCC)

The Kuehne Climate Center by Kühne Foundation is a subsidiary of the charitable Kühne Stiftung (Foundation), established in 1976 by the Kühne family in Switzerland. KCC develops and implements logistics-focused solutions to accelerate the transition to a just, low-carbon society by reducing emissions, removing carbon, and strengthening resilience.

Kühne Foundation

Established in 1976 by the Kühne family and is one of the largest foundations in the German-speaking world. As an operational foundation based in Schindellegi, Switzerland, it is involved in the areas of logistics, medicine, culture and, since the beginning of 2023, climate action. The Foundation is independent, operational and international.
